Founded in 1970, Island Plastic Manufacturing Company, Incorporated was one of the earliest in the Philippine plastic industry to produce wide-mouthed jars. In fact, it is the pioneer manufacturer of the Philippines’s iconic containers of pili nuts, banana chips, and the 10-liter buko juice jugs. By the 1980’s Island had successfully integrated its products into the value chain of many large companies in the Philippines. The company eventually became the lead manufacturer of plastic containers for industrial and commercial uses. Specialized in using injection molding, extrusion blow molding, and stretch blow molding services, Island has diversified its plastic container products using polyvinyl chloride (PVC), polypropylene (PP), polyethylene (PE), and polyethylene terephthalate (PET).
