DESKRIPSI PEKERJAAN
The Academic Quality Support Section is seeking a self-motivated individual for the position of Administrative Officer. The appointee is expected to perform administrative duties in various functional areas of the Section, including but not restricted to supporting the University’s academic quality assurance procedures including Academic Consultation Panel Visits and programme accreditation exercises, coordinating the preparation for institutional audits of the University by outside parties such as the UGC, assisting in reviewing and implementing academic quality assurance policies and procedures (e.g., University Language Policy, Departmental Academic Advisor Scheme, etc.), providing secretarial service to major committees (Quality Assurance Committee and its sub-committees), and supervising the administration of course evaluation exercises. The appointee will also have to assist the Section Head in supervising a team of executive staff to ensure smooth operation in the Section.
REQUIREMENT
Applicants should have a recognised degree plus at least seven years of relevant administrative and supervisory experience in the tertiary education sector. Experience in administering academic quality assurance matters is desirable. A high level of proficiency in both English and Chinese languages (written and spoken) and the ability to work independently and under pressure are essential. Good communication and interpersonal skills and competence in IT applications are required.
