Company Overview
Supersonic Manufacturing Inc. (SMI) has been in the business of steel wire manufacturing and processing for alomost 40 years. It is a family owned corporation established in 1971. It is now in its 2nd generation of existence.
Its original product line includes: B.I. and G.I. Wire, Steelmatting (B.I. Welded Wire Mesh), Cyclone wire, Barbed Wire, Hog Wire, Chicken Wire, G.I. Welded Wire, Staple U-nail.
In 1998, SMI expanded its manufacturing line to include gabions/mattresses. The materials for this line, however, are 100% imported to meet international standards. In 2003, the Geotechnical Supplies and Services Department (GSSD) was created to better serve the needs of its customers in this industry. In line with this, SMI ventured into trading of Geosynthetics with the aim of selling only products from leading reputable companies with years of experience and technical knowledge in this field.
