Athletic Club Sports Company is a retail company based in Davao City, carrying the world’s leading sports brand, Nike. It started its operation when its first branch opened back in 2000 at Gaisano Mall of Davao. Today, there are three Nike brand stores under the company in Davao City. It has represented the Nike brand in this side of the country, with integrity and passion. Athletic Club’s vision is to be the leading sports retail chain in Southern Philippines with a solid foundation on exceptional customer service and having the latest and most innovative sports products, and comprised by a team of competent and self-motivated staff. It is also able to connect directly with its consumers through the different social media platforms and has a pro-active marketing program that emphasizes consumer engagement through schools, fitness gyms and sports leagues. Today, the company has 45 employees, who have undergone extensive training in product knowledge and customer service, to ensure that it is able to uphold a premium consumer experience for every customer that enters any of its stores. Recruitment and retention of highly qualified staff, and incentivizing team performance has been one of the pillars for its longevity and expansion. Athletic Club has grown by leaps and bounds since its inception in 2000, growing by an annual rate of not less than 15 percent. In fact, the Abreeza Mall branch was awarded as the Best Nike Store in the Philippines by Nike Southeast Asia for the fiscal year 2016, and was also awarded by the Ayala Malls as the Best in Retail Operations at Abreeza Mall for 2015.
