In 1956, our founder, Chuck Williams, became a passion for cooking and eating with friends to small businesses with a big idea. He opened a shop in Sonoma, California, to sell French cooking utensils that tickled him while visiting Europe but could not be found in America. Chuck's business, which sets standards for customer service, departs and helps spark a revolution in cooking and entertaining America that continues to the present day.
