Overview
A special education teacher teaches multiple subjects such as mathematics, language, social studies, science, reading and others, as the role will be helping special needs students in every academic area. A good special education teacher has a positive impact on his or her students and plays an important role, which affects the student's self-esteem and development.
Competencies
Being a special education teacher requires an assortment of aptitudes and skills, including the skill and ability to work with children, creating an effective and pleasant classroom, learning environment. A special education teacher needs exceptional organizational, record keeping, research, administrative, conflict resolving, communication and problem solving powers. Motivating, training and influencing students require a lot of creativity, understanding and patience on the teacher's part.

REQUIREMENT
Must have minimum Bachelor Degree in Special Education, Psychology or Speech/ Occupational Therapy. A postgraduate degree in related qualifications is beneficial;
Highly motivated, excellent communication and observation skills;
Fluent both oral and written in Bahasa Indonesia and English;
Enjoy working with children;
Expert knowledge of child and adolescent development as well as teaching strategy and behavioral and emotional management for student with special need
