1. Systems & Server Administration
Operations: Assist in the management and monitoring of physical and virtual server environments, including Windows Server and Active Directory.
Maintenance: Perform routine system patching, software installations, and configuration updates.
Continuity: Execute regular data backup protocols and support disaster recovery testing to ensure high availability.
2. Network Operations
Infrastructure: Support the configuration and maintenance of LAN, WAN, and VLAN architectures.
Hardware: Provide hands-on assistance with network equipment, including firewalls, switches, and wireless access points.
Connectivity: Monitor network performance and assist in resolving connectivity issues such as latency or downtime.
3. Security & Compliance
Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular security scans and assist in basic penetration testing activities.
Defense Systems: Maintain and update antivirus/EDR policies and manage firewall rule sets.
Standards: Ensure all systems align with internal policies and external regulations, specifically ISO 27001 standards.
4. Support & Documentation
Technical Support: Serve as Level 2/3 escalation for complex server and network-related incidents.
Record Keeping: Create and maintain formal technical documentation, including network diagrams and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
REQUIREMENT
Education: Bachelor’s degree in IT Security, Computer Science, Information Engineering, or a related technical field.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in an IT security or systems-related role.
Technical Foundation: * Foundational knowledge of Active Directory and Windows Server environments.
Understanding of networking protocols and computer architecture.
Familiarity with security tools (Firewalls, Encryption, and Vulnerability Scanners).
Awareness of cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001).
Preferred Qualifications (Certifications)
Possession of one or more of the following is highly regarded:
CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate)
JNCIA (Juniper Network Certified Associate)
NSE 4 (Fortinet Network Security Professional)
