DESKRIPSI PEKERJAAN

Carrying out the implementation/operations of networking products. The implementation activities could include site surveys, setting up the hardware and software environment, installation of the product, configuring the product and the environment to suit customer’s requirements, and documentation. Actively participate during project workshops and discussion to finalise network design based on customer’s requirements. Working with the customer representatives; handholding them in terms of guiding them in the usage of the product. Working with customer in terms of commissioning the system into production/live environment Project progress reporting and participation in project reviews; Interaction with the customer and management on implementation related issues. Development of Acceptance Tests and handling of the acceptance of product by the customer after implementation and guiding the customer in the completion of the acceptance procedures. Handle day-to-day operations of systems which encompasses, but are not limited to, generating reports, troubleshooting and performance tweaking. The ability to demonstrate concern for satisfying one's internal/external customers. This would mean understanding the needs, working with them to define problems and desired outcomes, managing expectations well, following up with the customers to make sure that results meet or exceed expectations. Ability to maintain relationship with all the stake holders and ensure the task which needs to be coordinated is completed effectively. Assist customers in terms of identifying appropriate solution and scoping according to capacity requirements. Provide technical support services and ensure technical issues are attended to and rectified within customer’s expected SLA. On-site and/or remote testing, and L1/L2 support and troubleshooting activities. Candidate may be required to periodically travel to Singapore to provide technical support and project implementation activities.
REQUIREMENT

Minimum of 3 to 5 years’ working experience in IT, Enterprise Networking, Telecom and Internet business. Must be able to install/configure routers, switches, firewall, and/or DWDM products independently. Good understanding of OSI layers, dependencies, tele-communications and Internet business and related technologies. Experience in the telecommunications sector, preferably on the data network side. Must be able to work independently and with team members with minimum supervision. Strong understanding of Metro-E networks with minimum 3 years’ deployments/support experience with Juniper MX/ACX-series and Junos operating system will be advantageous. Strong understanding of OSPF, IS-IS, BGP, MPLS, EVPN-VXLAN and various routing and switching protocols will be advantageous. Experience implementing and supporting Data Center Switch Fabric and Data Center Interconnect will be advantageous. Well-versed with Ciena and DWDM design, implementation and support. Certified Juniper JNCIS or JNCIP in SP/ENT/SEC will be advantageous. Ciena certification will be advantageous. Excellent communication skills and team player. Able to work at irregular hours. Fluent in both written and spoken English and Malay. To be based in Kuala Lumpur or Johor Bahru.
