Provides input and executes logistics strategies to maximize the business benefit of corporate logistics resources/contacts/scale
Integrates logistics plans and tactics with DIBM processes: Ensures logistics capabilities are aligned with demand and supply plans, costs, and outlooks; Determines gaps to plan and develops/ executes improvement plans to meet Supply Chain needs
Develops and maintains documentation of business requirements for logistics services – defined scopes of work – to enable competitive selection and to manage performance of logistics providers. Scope of work may include global business requirements in terms of safety, service and cost.
Arranges and coordinates transportation assets and services to meet supply chain requirements such as the transportation equipment fleet including ISO tanks, railcars, tank-trailers.
Monitors the day to day activities of the contract logistics functions (e.g.: TONA/APL, BDP, contract warehousing, etc.) for the Business to assure needs are being met
Ensures logistics practices and activities comply with company policies and are compliant with government and competent authority regulations.
Coordinates the investigation, root-cause analysis, and resolution of transportation safety incidents complaints and claims to drive continuous improvement of transportation providers and recover losses.
Manages transportation assets to ensure compliance with DuPont engineering standards and regulatory requirements.
Documents and utilizes logistics best practices and procedures.
Participates in and supports the logistics Outlook and PO processes.
Provides transportation cost information and logistics advice through collaboration with the S&L organization, 3PLs (including TONA and BDP), business teams, and site personnel.
Leads cost savings projects in the transportation/logistics/warehousing arena.
Monitors and reports on logistics critical operating tasks (COTs) for performance improvement and cost savings.
Collaborates with order fulfillment, business supply chains and other regional logistics resources to optimize end-to-end processes within the logistics, supply chain and order fulfillment areas
Analyze logistics performance and cost reports from various systems to identify root cause for anomalies or items ourside of target objectives and itendify corrective actions/improvement opportunities
REQUIREMENT
Bachelor Degree or Equivalent experience.
4-5 years of working experience in logistics, manufacturing, production or equivalent
Proactive and being able to work under pressure.
Well organized and good documentation skills
Good command in English speaking and writing.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Strong PC / system skills including SAP, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook.
APICS CPIM certification preferred
Six sigma green belt certification preferred.
