An exciting opportunity exists to join a highly experienced, collaborative and outcomes focused Asia-Pacific IT team working closely with the infrastructure team, end users and stakeholders across the region.
We are seeking an IT Operations Manager to join our IT Team to be responsible for all IT operations in a specific region within the IPH Group. This role includes supporting the business on a day-by-day basis by ensuring the systems and infrastructure are performing optimally. The scope includes all infrastructure and systems used by IPH Group and its entities, such as networks, servers, databases, devices, user desktops/laptops, virtualisation, phone system, email, IP system, document management system, etc.
This hands on role will be based in Singapore and reports to the Head of IT (Asia).
Key Responsibilities
Operational
Ensure all infrastructure is performing at optimal levels and actively promote and plan for preventative maintenance
Responsible for incident reporting related to infrastructure and systems
Maintain top quality customer service by ensuring appropriate SLAs are in place and achieved
Ensure operational processes and architecture principles are being followed strictly
Resource Planning - estimate, schedule and ensure all resource requirements are sufficient to provide the required levels of availability and support
May be required to work after hours and weekends depending on the projects and business as usual.
Ensuring the team provide IT help desk support to all users in the region using group level toolset
Actively participate in annual audit process for IT processes, systems and infrastructure.
Projects & Change
Act as the project lead for the team and accountable for team delivering project requirements, including identifying the appropriate resourcing
Ensure appropriate long-term support is organised and planned when transitioning from projects to BAU
Ensure consistency in the way the team executes changes within IT
Participate in CAB Meetings and ensure Change Request process is adhered to
People Management
Manage the team in the region - responsible for all aspects of people management within the Team, including recruitment and performance reviews and communicating business priorities to the team.
Provide regular team performance reports based on agreed metrics and benchmark
Establish performance objectives and personal development plans for each individual in the team with a view to succession planning and building a balance between technical and soft skills for team members
Vendor Management
Participate in the identification/selection of relevant vendors
Manage selected vendor relationship to ensure continued service, efficiency and value are delivered to the organisation
Review licenses and support agreements periodically
Security & Risk
Perform IT security risk assessments and report on ways to minimise threats
Propose and implement security controls and measures to improve group level security posture
Co-develop group level DR strategy and approach
REQUIREMENT
Minimum Tertiary or professional qualification in Information Technology/Computer Science and management. ITIL qualified (desirable)
Minimum 3 years relevant experience in a people management or similar role
Strong leadership and management skills with proven ability to lead/manage a team of engineers and achieve results through others
Experience in IT operational processes, Help Desk processes, Systems and infrastructure maintenance.
Strong communication (written & verbal), time management and interpersonal skills and a collaborative working style coupled with a proven track record of excellent customer service
Excellent influencing skills coupled with ability to manage relationships and stakeholders at all levels.
Demonstrates a focus on quality documentation and continuous improvement.
Project management experience with proven ability to deliver on deadlines, trouble shoot problems and find solutions.
