DESKRIPSI PEKERJAAN

​Planning and implementing overall procurement prospects, managing procurement schedules and oversees the procurement department activities. Lead sourcing on commodities by managing price negotiation, supplier selection and evaluation to deliver quality standards and on time delivery. Contracts (including formal, short form, and annual contracts) – drafting, evaluation, negotiation and execution, provide guidance on contract matters to Project managers or other operational staff. Build and maintain mutually beneficial relationship with suppliers, sourcing contractor and consultant. Serve as the point of contract for customers on contractual matters. Ensure material flow to insure inventory is maintained to the optimum level to support production which keeping inventory holdings at the appropriate levels. Ensure compliance with company policies, standards and guiding principle. Provide recommendations and often negotiate directly with customer or purchasing staff until consensus has been reached. To coordinate entire logistic operation including all customs clearances, deliveries to sites, receiving, processing of work orders and invoicing in a timely manner. Work closely with suppliers on long term cost reduction programs, pricing, payment term, expedite and ensure smooth supply of materials to meet production requirements. Monitor the effectiveness of logistic procedures, space utilization and protection of equipment and recommendation for improvement. Responsible to ensure prompt update of all inventory and report in order to minimize variance between records and physical stock. Preparation of Letter of Award, report for award, variation order. To perform any other duties assigned by immediate superior from time to time. Required to deal with suppliers from China most of the time.
REQUIREMENT

Candidate must possess at least Bachelor’s Degree in any field, preferably procurement and logistic, construction or equivalent. Required language (s) to converse, read and written: English, Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin At least 5 years of working experience in the related filed is required in this position Possesses at least 2 years of leadership experience and capabilities. Able to work autonomously in a demanding environment (meaning hands-on problem solving skills are needed when necessary). Able to interact with all levels of the organization including senior management. Relationship builder, strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to work internally and externally in an effective and efficient way.
